Una vez tuve una jefa que le contó a un compañero que yo no le caía bien por "ser muy pobre", y lo que le molestaba particularmente era que conmigo no podía hablar de sus viajes al exterior, porque, pues claro, con más de 20 años ni había salido del país yo.

¿Por qué cuento esto ahora?

Pasó más de una década desde ese momento, mucho estudio, mucho trabajo, mucho esfuerzo, y aún así, muchas veces, se sigue sintiendo esa brecha en el mundo laboral entre los que ya nacieron con ciertas oportunidades y los que vamos alcanzando pequeñas (y gigantes) metas (para nosotros), a pulmón. Y sin embargo, parece que estamos tan lejos.

Pero... a vos, que cuando te tocaba estudiar tuviste que salir a trabajar para bancar a tu familia. A vos, que cuando quisiste ser gerente te diste cuenta que para esos roles se valora mucho el famoso MBA que no podés pagar ni sacando un crédito. A vos, que tus millas las acumulás en el Roca o en el Sarmiento, quiero decirte esto:

Tu éxito no depende del punto al que llegás. Aunque otros no lo vean, es fundamental el lugar del que partiste y todo el camino recorrido❤️.

Once I had a boss who told a colleague that he did not like me because "I was very poor", and what particularly bothered him was that with me he could not talk about his trips abroad, because, of course, with more than 20 years I had not left the country.

Why am I telling this now?

More than a decade has passed since that moment, a lot of study, a lot of work, a lot of effort, and even so, many times, we still feel that gap in the world of work between those who were already born with certain opportunities and those who are reaching small (and giant) goals (for us), at the lung. And yet, it seems that we are so far away.

But... to you, that when you had to study you had to go out to work to bank your family. To you, that when you wanted to be a manager you realized that for those roles the famous MBA is highly valued that you can not pay or taking out a credit. To you, that your miles are accumulated in the Rock or in the Sarmiento, I want to tell you this:

Your success doesn't depend on where you get. Although others do not see it, the place from which you departed and all the way traveled❤️ is fundamental.
